Spiritual Categories of Archetypes
What Are Archetypes?
There has been many books written about Archetypes, my favorites are written by Caroline Myss and Robert Ohotto.
Caroline’s books first enlightened me to our four main Inner Archetypes, the Inner Child, Victim, Sabatour and the Prostitute, and how they play an important role in our daily life. Most importantly their role in discovering our Sacred Contracts.
Through all of her other books, along with additional workshops by Caroline Myss, I became fascinated with this information, how to identify the major Archetypes, and their patterns and their unique language.
Most importantly I learned how to intuitively read my client’s Archetypical patterns, to become aware of their unique constitution, contracts and all of the programming they chose to experience this lifetime, allowing me to then facilitate their awareness of their options and choices to create dynamic changes in their reality.
What exactly is an Archetype?
“Simply put, an archetype is a pattern of behaviors that, once discovered, helps you better understand yourself and others.”
The Dictionary’s description of Archetype is:
1. The original pattern or model from which all things of the same kind are copied or on which they are based; a model or first form; prototype.
2.(in Jungian psychology) a collectively inherited unconscious idea, pattern of thought, image, etc., universally present in individual psyches.
The concept of psychological archetypes was advanced by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, c. 191 In Jung’s psychological framework, archetypes are innate, universal prototypes for ideas and may be used to interpret observations. A group of memories and interpretations associated with an archetype is a complex ( e.g. a mother complex associated with the mother archetype).
I found the following information online:
“Carl Jung treated the archetypes as psychological organs, analogous to physical ones in that both are morphological constructs that arose through evolution. At the same time, it has also been observed that evolution can itself be considered an archetypal construct.
Carl Jung first applied the term archetype to literature. He recognized that there were universal patterns in all stories and mythologies regardless of culture or historical period and hypothesized that part of the human mind contained a collective unconscious shared by all members of the human species, a sort of universal, primal memory.
Joseph Campbell took Jung’s ideas and applied them to world mythologies. In “A Hero with a Thousand Faces”, among
other works, he refined the concept of hero and the hero’s journey —George Lucas used Campbell’s writings to formulate the Star Wars saga. Recognizing archetypal patterns in literature brings patterns we all unconsciously respond to in similar ways to a conscious level.
The term archetype can be applied to:
•A character type
•A plot pattern
Archetypes can be expressed in:
Myths, Dreams, Literature, Religions, fantasies, Folklure”
As you can see from the info shared here the Archetypes are huge. I recommend the following website for more in-depth info: http://www.myss.com/library/contracts/archetypes.asp
Additional Spiritual Response Therapy Categories of Archetypes
As I mentioned above the value of perceiving Archetypes and their role in discovering a person’s Sacred Contracts.
I also want to reveal what I learned about Archetypes from my Spiritual training by Robert Detzler, regarding clearing
other categories & levels of archetypes.
The information below is from one of those training sessions.
Archetypes Pre-programmed at SPIRIT Level
“Robert discovered five new kinds of archetypes which were identified by his High Self. Days later he was shown another archetype. When he asked at what level this was established, he was shown SPIRIT level on Chart 3.
Robert’s High Self indicated four words on Chart 6A: health abuse, illness, helplessness, and depression.
He reported that he’d recently been clearing many people of this form of archetype. His High Self says all souls have this kind of archetype. In his continuing research of this archetype, he found that there can be hundreds of words, not just the four mentioned above. These are programmed by SPIRIT as part of the potential challenges for every created Soul when they enter the physical body. How each person handles the challenges, however, is unique.
Spiritual Child Archetype
Another form of inner child has been coming up. When he asked if it is the inner child on Chart 8A, a “No” response was indicated. Using Chart 3, and asking at what level the inner child is located, SPIRIT was indicated. It seems that this particular inner child is in conflict with SPIRIT. There may be a belief that it was rejected or cast out of heaven or damaged in some way. This simply is not correct, but the belief still needs to be cleared from the soul records.
SPIRIT Imitation Archetypes (Six Levels on Chart 3)
It appears that many Souls have a belief that they are to be exactly like SOURCE/SPIRIT, rather than an individual, personal expression of the Soul. They want to be a carbon copy of SPIRIT. It is like a human person, a son, desiring to be exactly like his father. The son admires and respects his father who is a lawyer. The son gets his law degree and is certified to practice law. After years of struggle, he determines that being a lawyer simply does not work for him. Thus, he may see his life as wasted and may become depressed. This is the same with the Soul that decides to be just like SPIRIT. It tries to follow in the footsteps of and be everything that his CREATOR is.
These kinds of archetypes are preprogrammed at six different levels listed on Chart 3. The first is at the 2,600 Pathways noted at the bottom of chart 3. There are 136 major categories of pathways. One of the categories is animal and 540 of the total paths are animal paths of some type. Every animal is an archetype. Because all these have their source in SPIRIT, in order to be like SPIRIT, the Soul has to deal with all of the pathways.
The second kind is at SPIRIT level. Since SPIRIT holds in consciousness every potential or idea of creation, and every idea is an archetype, the Soul that desires to be like SPIRIT has every potential of creation as a challenge.
The third is at level 1780. There SPIRIT expands both horizontally and spherically, and is everything that is or ever may be. The picture that I was shown was like a pebble being dropped in water which sent out a ring of energy, which was repeated again and again, forever. The spherical expansion is like adding additional layers to an onion.
The individual Soul does expand both horizontally and spherically. However, it does not need to include every aspect of what SPIRIT does. Rather, it has its own individual and particular path and experiences; just as the child’s path is different than the father’s.
The fourth is at Beyond Absolute level where the Soul expands in every direction. What I was shown resembled a sun that sent out bursts of creative energy in every direction. The fifth is at Fifth Eden, and the sixth is at Eighth Eden. Both of these areas of consciousness expand like layers of an onion. When the Soul is involved with these archetypes, ask that the Soul be educated and brought to the realization that it is not to be a copy of SPIRIT; rather, it is to pursue its individual expression that has been developed over eons of time both in the Garden of Eden where it had its first level of learning and through its many physical lives which comprise the practical, experiential level of learning. The Soul’s High Self and other spiritual helpers may also be involved with these six archetypes and need to be cleared. Again, it is a matter of asking for the education of all the beings who serve you.
Positive and Negative Archetype Potentials Pre-programmed by SPIRIT
While Robert was working for someone regarding blocks to prosperity, another archetype came up. It was the archetype of abundance. He asked if there were more archetypes and was told there were. Upon request, he was given a total of thirteen positive words and twelve negative ones. Spirit said the positive words were associated with the twelve apostles and Jesus. Here are the words in the order of their importance, and the apostle associated with the word (one being least, thirteen most important):
1. Self-forgiveness & Judas
2. Concern & Peter
3. Love of Self & Andrew
4. Friendliness & Simon
5. Wholeness & Philip
6. Abundance & James
7. Love of Life & John
8. Sincerity & Thomas
9. Sympathy & Matthew
10. Freedom & Thaddeus
11. Forgiveness & Nathaniel/Bartho
12. Self-Esteem & James
13. Wisdom & Jesus
2.Illness of Life
10. Self Punishment
Robert’s High Self revealed to him that health abuse leads to illness (mental, emotional and/or physical), illness leads to helplessness and that leads to the next word and so forth, finally culminating in some form of self-destruction. These archetypes were established at SPIRIT level before creation began. They are a part of every soul’s makeup and need to be cleared for every Soul including the Souls who make up the members of your High Self and other committees. High Self says the minimum number of this kind of archetype a Soul may have is two. However, I find that most persons have all or almost all of the positive words blocked that need to be cleared, and more often than not all of the negative words that need to be cleared.
Over time, Robert’s High Self provided new information about archetypes. In addition to the Inner Archetypes presented on Chart 8 and those listed on Chart 31, there are now six additional categories of archetypes to research and clear. To make these easier to identify, there are now two archetype charts: the original Chart 8, now relabeled as Chart 8A, and a new Chart 8B, “Archetypes Pre-programmed by SPIRIT.”
Inner Archetypes (Chart 8A)
There are no changes to Chart 8A, or the way you research and clear inner archetypes. All archetypes on Chart 8 can be cleared by researching and clearing other lives: past lives, past lives other dimensions, parallel lives, and/or parallel universe lives.
The Inner Child archetype can be cleared in this way also. However, as always, I prefer progressing the age of the inner child, as that reveals when illnesses and accidents are pre-programmed We do not inherit illness or accidents; many are preplanned by the Soul and can be cleared. For details on progressing the Inner Child see your Advance class notes.
For information about archetypes listed on Chart 31, see chapter 16 of Soul Re-Creation.
SPIRIT Level Belief of Beliefs
When Robert asked for clues as to what this archetype consisted of, he was shown Chart 10, Belief of Beliefs. These beliefs were established at SPIRIT level and are false. The energy/energies can be identified using Chart 6A.
While not the same program as that listed on Chart 10, SPIRIT Level Belief of Beliefs is similar. When the Soul is created, free will is a major function of personal expression. The uneducated, newly created Soul believes in many things that simply are not based in truth: for example illness, rejection, being cast out of heaven, being damned, limited, etc.”
He is the founder of Spiritual Response Therapy and Spiritual Restructuring.
He was also an experienced teacher, counselor, and minister. Robert’s lectures, books, and classes trained students to do their own energy healing and to assist their families and friends in finding greater health, happiness and prosperity.
I am so grateful to have been trained by Robert, first in Spiritual Restructuring and then Spiritual Response Therapy. I later became a Certified Consultant and later a Certified Teacher. Although I am no longer a certified teacher of Spiritual Response Therapy, it will always be a huge part of my identity because of the dramatic clearings & healing I received from it and is at the foundation of all of the healing and clearings I do.
Several of his books are available here.
